The reason I became a personal injury lawyer was to help people. I help my clients by aggressively pursing maximum compensation for the injuries that they suffer at the hands of negligent people or organizations. This helps create safer communities by discouraging the kinds of practices and behaviors that cause serious injuries to innocent people.

Another way I try to help make the Long Beach community that I serve safer is by offering community programs, like my free holiday rides program, that nudge people towards making safer choices. I also support worthy local organizations who share this commitment to improving the safety and well being of our community.

I have seen first hand the devastation that a momentary lapse in judgement — getting behind the wheel after drinking — can cause. There are certain US holidays during which drunk driving is especially common. That’s why I offer to pay for rides home during the six most popular drinking holidays. Details…

The Beliz Law Firm Scholarships

As an attorney, I see all of the negative impacts that texting and driving can create, so I’ve have created two scholarships that will help get the word out about texting and driving by creating a video essay on the effects texting and driving. One is an undergraduate scholarship and one is a law school scholarship. The winner of each of these contests will receive a one-time $500 scholarship to go towards their education.

Organizations That I Support

The Long Beach Ronald McDonald House is a “home away from home” for families with critically-ill children. They provide a place to stay, a source of comfort and care, and a chance to focus all of their energies on the one thing that matters most of all: their child. Fulfilling this mission is possible because of the generosity and commitment of the community.
