A sedan leaving the cafe parking lot with three passengers was attempting to turn onto State Route 46 and did not see an approaching minivan. When the driver made the turn into the roadway, the two cars collided.
The impact threw one passenger from the sedan onto the roadway. That person was dead at the scene.
The accident took the life of 54-year-old Isabel Rodriguez Fraire From Wasco, California. The three others in the sedan were taken to the hospital with serious injuries. Their conditions are still currently unknown.
The minivan driver did not sustain any injuries. The crash is still under investigation. Officials believe drugs and alcohol were not factors in the crash.
